Ambria Strong Scholarship Program

The Ambria Strong Scholarship honors the legacy of Ambria McGregor.

About Ambria

Ambria Mcgregor was born on October 2, 2006. She brought so much light and love into the world during her brief 16 years on this earth. Every room she entered shined a little bit brighter because of her presence, and she had a laugh that was contagious. She was a beautiful soul who truly lived life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family, hanging out with friends, listening to music, worshiping her Savior, and tossing a volleyball around. She was a genuine friend and a wonderful teammate. She did her best to make sure that no one ever felt left out. She truly wanted everyone around her to feel loved. She gave her very best in every aspect of her life…Striving to be the best student, athlete, and overall person that she could be.

Ambria died due to injuries suffered in a car accident on December 7, 2022.

To honor Ambria’s life and to encourage other young ladies to live the life God created them to live, family and friends have established the Ambria Strong Scholarship Program.

The Ambria Strong Scholarship

The Ambria Strong Scholarship is awarded annually to a senior Wilson County volleyball player who positively impacts both their school and community through kindness, service to others, and positivity. This allows us all to celebrate other volleyball players in Wilson County and the impact they are having in our community, and how they are living like Ambria!

This year’s scholarship will be awarded at the Aces for Ambria Volleyball Tournament on August 26 at Green Hill High School.
