Clarence Carter

Commissioner, Tennessee Department of Human Services

Clarence H. Carter serves as Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Human Services, appointed by Governor Bill Lee in 2021. He leads the state’s second-largest agency, overseeing more than 4,000 employees and a $3 billion budget that supports programs focused on nutrition, employment, vocational training, and family services across Tennessee. With more than 30 years of public service experience, including leadership roles under four governors, two presidents, and a mayor, Carter is widely recognized for his innovation in public administration. He is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration, a published author, and a leader committed to strengthening Tennessee by strengthening Tennesseans.

Chris Jones

President and CEO, Middle Tennessee Electric

Chris Jones is President and CEO of Middle Tennessee Electric and only the fifth CEO in the cooperative’s 90-year history. A 27-year veteran of MTE and graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he has led the organization through major technology advancements, severe weather responses, and the merger with Murfreesboro Electric Department. Jones also helped advance legislation allowing electric cooperatives to provide broadband service and led MTE’s acquisition of United Communications to expand internet access across Middle Tennessee. He serves on numerous regional and state boards and has received several leadership and business awards. Chris and his wife, Bonita, live in Murfreesboro and have two daughters and two grandchildren.

Kevin Dawson

Principal, Green Hill High School

Dr. Kevin Dawson is the founding principal of Green Hill High School in Wilson County, where he helped launch the school in 2020 and establish its leadership and culture. He brings more than a decade of administrative experience within Wilson County Schools, having previously served as principal of West Wilson Middle School, assistant principal at Wilson Central High School, and a teacher at Mt. Juliet Middle School. Known for his commitment to student success and strong school culture, Dr. Dawson combines practical leadership experience with academic research. He holds a doctorate from the University of the Cumberlands and is passionate about building high-performing educational environments.

Karah Sprouse

Co-Founder of ReGenerate, TEDx Speaker, and Author

Dr. Karah Sprouse is co-founder of ReGenerate, a TEDx speaker, author, researcher, and leadership trainer focused on helping organizations bridge generational divides and engage Gen Z in the workplace. Alongside her business partner, Jessica Stollings, she co-authored ReGenerate: Empowering Generations to Work With (and Not Against) Each Other. Karah serves as a professor of practice at Cumberland University and teaches in Lipscomb University’s College of Leadership and Public Service. Her research on multigenerational teams and experience working with Gen Z students equip leaders to build stronger, more collaborative workplace cultures. She lives near Nashville with her husband, children, and a variety of barnyard pets.

Tyler Chandler

Chief of Police, Mt. Juliet Police Department

Chief Tyler Chandler serves as Chief of Police for the Mt. Juliet Police Department, bringing more than 22 years of law enforcement experience to his role. He leads a forward-thinking department focused on innovation, community partnership, and public safety, helping make Mt. Juliet one of Tennessee’s safest communities. Chief Chandler is committed to servant leadership, mentorship, and investing in future leaders. In addition to his work in law enforcement, he serves as an adjunct professor at Trevecca Nazarene University. He holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command.

Mark Satterfield

Senior Pastor, The Glade Church

Mark Satterfield serves as Senior Pastor of The Glade Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, where he provides leadership through preaching, disciple-making, leadership development, and strategic vision. Passionate about cultivating healthy leaders and healthy churches, Mark regularly coaches pastors, ministry leaders, and teams, helping them lead with clarity, conviction, and Christ-centered purpose. His heart for leadership development extends beyond the local church as he invests in leaders across a variety of ministry settings. Mark and his wife, Christine, recently celebrated 25 years of marriage and consider raising their two sons, Brock and Eli, one of life’s greatest joys.

Bryan Watson

U.S. Army Retired, West Point Instructor, and Business Consultant

Bryan Watson served in the United States Army for over 34 years as a Combat Engineer. A graduate of West Point Class of 1982, he attended Airborne, Ranger, and Sapper School and has led units at almost every level within our military. He is a combat veteran of Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. HIs most notable executive assignments are as the 91st Commandant of Army Engineers, Head Engineer in Afghanistan, and Director of US Military Operations in Africa. Bryan retired as a Major General in 2016. Today, Bryan continues to serve as a Senior Mentor for Army Engineers and has found a new passion in using his military experience to help businesses from all sectors around the world develop better leaders. His life motto is “Lead to Serve” and he holds himself to that standard.
